Website Focused Exclusively on Brokering Unused Medical Space

Share Medical - the only website dedicated exclusively to matching physicians seeking to share or sublease underutilized medical space with physicians seeking vacant space.

Founded by physician-entrepreneur Ari Weitzner, Share Medical Space launched its first website with a different website developer. However, the solution offered by that developer was inadequate to meet the client's needs. For example, simple site content updates were laborious. The site backend also failed to provide the client with adequate access to important data. Nor did the developer have the expertise to implement certain advanced functionality requested by the client.

The client retained us to explore deployment of a more advanced website with a more sophisticated backend.

Our team shepherded Dr. Weitzner through the website development process culminating in the successful launch and promotion of an upgraded website and backend. Among the services we provided:

  • Composed a detailed requirement specification detailing all of the features and functionality required for the website
  • Distributed the requirement specification to prospective offshore website developers in Asia, reviewed their responses, and recommended a vendor to the client.
  • Monitored performance of offshore developer selected by client during development phase, including testing code and reporting bugs
  • Advised client on alternative business models
  • Implemented search engine optimization best practices
  • Designed graphics for the website
  • Managed post-launch email marketing campaigns targeting physicians, print media contacts, and bloggers
  • Composed and distributed search-engine optimized press releases
  • Assisted client with negotiation of partnerships with third parties

The site successfully launched and has attracted interest within the medical community. The knowledge we passed along to Dr. Weitzner has enabled to assume direct management of the website and supervision of ongoing projects with the new offshore website developer. As Dr. Weitzner has remarked: "I couldn't have done it without you."
